DAO, MIND, AND
LANGUAGE: A CONFERENCE IN HONOUR
OF CHAD HANSEN

and
Saturday May 31st, 9:30am – 5:30pm
Convocation Room, M218 Main Building,
HKU.
Chad Hansen's groundbreaking philosophical interpretation of early
Chinese approaches to mind, language, and ethics shows how they are founded
on a conception of thought and action centered on Dao, or ways of recognizing
and responding to action-guiding distinctions. This conference celebrates and
critiques Hansen's contributions with a series of papers and a panel
discussion on future directions in the study of Chinese philosophy.
