- Timetable: 1st semester 2007-08, Sept 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21 Wed, Fri 2-4pm (GH P501 on 5,7,19,21; GH P601 on 12,14)
- Course objectives: Critical thinking is a matter of thinking clearly and rationally. Creativity is a matter of discovering new and useful alternatives. The objective of this course is to introduce the basic principles of critical and creative thinking, and show how they can be applied in research and practical situations. Topics to be discussed include conceptual and argument analysis, fallacies, logic, scientific methodology, and creativity in research.

Final test
- TEST RESULTS (15 Oct) - Everyone has passed except for a student whose student ID begins with '1993'. The results have to be officially confirmed by the Graduate School first.
- In the afternoon of Monday 24 Sept 2007, I shall post a copy of the test paper on this web site. The test will consist of multiple choice questions, and you should submit the answers online according to the instructions on the test paper. You should complete the test before 5pm Sunday 30 Sept 2007.
- You will be notified of the official results by the Graduate School later on. I shall not inform you individually of the results, unless you have failed, in which case I shall send you an email before 15 Oct 2007.
- You can now download the final test paper
