About the longer essay

  • Two deadlines :
    • 5pm Tue 16 Dec 2008. Detailed comments will be given.
    • 5pm Mon 5 Jan 2009. No comments will be given.
    • The same grading system is used for both deadlines. It is just that you won't get any comments if you hand in your paper after 16 Dec. You will just get a grade. The papers will be returned to you around mid-January 2009.
  • You should submit a copy online to turnitin.com (to check for plagiarism), and a PRINTED VERSION to Loletta in the Philosophy Dept general office.

  • NO late paper will be accepted.
  • Make sure you read these guidelines.
  • Length of paper: around 15-20 pages (double-spacing, times roman font size 11/12).
  • If you want, you can email me a draft before 9 Dec, and if I have enough time, I shall give you some brief comments.

If you want to write on a different topic, you can send me a proposal by email BEFORE 30 NOV. If it is accepted I might add it to the list. You should not write on an essay topic that has not been approved.
