- [18 Mar] From Tang Yun: Please be noted that all tutorials fixed for next Friday (29 March) will be moved to this Friday (22 March)--becasue 29 March is a public holiday. So if you belong to the group 12, 13, 14, 20, 21, 22 or 23, please attend this Friday's tutorial.

- [6 Mar] Results of fund raising: HK$1243.2 + Taiwan $1 (Wed class). HK$1920.2 + 0.1 Korean Won (Sat class). Thank you all! I will donate a total of HK$7,000 to UNICEF and post the receipt here later. Also, I might be able to organize a rocketstove workshop after reading week. Details will be posted here and I shall send out an email when the event is confirmed.

- [5 Feb] The tutorial room for group 18 should be CPD G-01 and NOT LG-01. Apologies for the error.
- [5 Feb] New powerpoint file online. There will be an online quiz on valid arguments which you should complete online between 9am Feb 14 to 10pm Feb 15. I will probably be using moodle but I will make an announcement here later. You should complete the test on your own.
- [4 Feb] I am sorry that the second lecture on Sat was cancelled. Dr Kelly Inglis was very ill and could not come. I have posted the powerpoint file with additional notes on moodle. Students from section B can go through the file and read the comments. Use moodle to post questions if anything is not clear. I shall also post details about the online quiz in a few days. Notice also that there is no Sat class on 9 Feb. The next Sat lecture is 16 Feb.

- [26 Jan] We shall post an updated timetable for tutorials the coming Wed, and tutorial signup will begin Friday morning at 10am. More details will be posted here.
- [24 Jan] About enrolment: The two sections are now full. Some students might still drop the course during the add/drop period, but I have no control over who will fill the places. It is done automatically by the computer system. Please do not send me emails as I am unable to help you enrol in the course.

- [22 Jan] According to the HKU portal, it looks like there are still places left in both the Wed and Sat sections. But the available places will be assigned by the computer system.

Assessment
- 60% short assignments (one online quiz 10% , first essay 20%, second essay 30%), 30% argument mapping individual project (due end of term), 10% tutorial participation. More details later.
