Discuss Peter Singer's argument that people in affluent countries have the duty to help people in need in countries suffering from famine and other disasters.

* Write 4 to 5 pages all inclusive, A4, font size 11 / 12.
* Write down your name, your student ID, your email address and the name of your tutor and your tutorial group number.
* Submit a word document file or a text file through moodle. Your submission will be checked for plagiarism using turnitin. Make sure that you do not copy passages without proper acknowledgment. Otherwise you might fail the course.
* Deadline: 5pm Thursday 21 March. Print a hardcopy and hand in to Loletta at the Philosophy Dept office by the same deadline.
* Late submission penalty: -30% on or before 5pm Monday 25 March. 0 marks afterwards.

* include a list of references at the end, citing the two articles above in the APA format (American Psychological Association). You can cite other sources in your essay as well if you want. But make sure you include them in your list of references.
