General information for students

If you are a student in any of my courses, please read all of the following where applicable:

• Studying philosophy - Some suggestions
• Writing essays - You must read this carefully and follow the instructions if you have any written essay assignments. Marks will be deducted if you fail to avoid the mistakes mentioned.
• Plagiarism is using other people's work as your own without proper acknowledgment. You might receive a fail grade if you commit plagiarism. You might even be expelled from HKU. So make sure you understand what plagiarism is. NEVER copy your homework or allow your homework to be copied.
