  1. Along with Singer, Deutsch claimed that the existence of others who can, but don't, give to relief agencies doesn't affect our strong obligation to give. What can be said about this claim, both pro and con?
  2. It may be that the actions we class as duties are those we must perform in order to live peaceably together in a given society. Hence giving to relief efforts in societies remote from ours is not classed as a duty. Does this mean it definitely is not a duty?
  3. There are a lot of good causes needing financial support right here in HK. Shouldn't we be helping ourselves and fellow citizens first before considering giving money to help people in the developing world?
