Browser issues

Our online notes include logic symbols, and some older web browsers cannot display them. To check whether your browser can display the logic symbols correctly, look at the orange table below :

If you have the correct browser, the table above should display exactly the same characters as the table below :

If that's not the case, you need to use a different browser to read these notes. The following browsers should work :

• Internet Explorer 5.50 or above
• Opera 6.04 or above (Download for free from www.opera.com)
• Netscape 7 or above (Download for free from www.netscape.com)
• The latest version of Mozilla (Download for free from www.mozilla.org)

When you print out the notes, you should make sure that the printer is able to print out the symbols correctly.

If you are a HKU student, you can use the computers on the ground floor of the Main Library. Many of them have Internet Explorer 5.5 or above installed.
