Knowledge of the World: an introduction to philosophy
Answer three questions
(1) `I must conclude that this proposition "I am", "I exist", whenever
I  utter  it  or  conceive  it  in  my  mind,  is  necessarily  true.'

(2) `Every event has a cause.'  Discuss.
(3) How  can  we  tell whether it is justifiable to use particular classificatory
terms   (such   as   "goat",   "mountain",   "poem",   "constitution",
"erotomania", etc.) ?
(4) Give a brief account  of evolutionary theory, and discuss the view that  it is 
sufficient to explain  the  appearance  of  function  and purpose in nature.
(5) Give  and  assess  an  argument  which  tries to show that nothing
happens by chance.
(6) Do we really perceive things only indirectly,  as  the  "Argument
from Illusion" seems to suggest (or assume) ?
(7)  "I can wager that God exists; but whether I win or not depends on
finding  proof of his existence (or non-existence)."  Is this remark a
fair criticism of Pascal ?
