Circularity
Two examples:
-
people sometimes "gather in a circle". And this can be recognized.
We know what to do if we are told to gather in a circle. Of course,
it is not and could not be a perfect circle in the mathematical sense.
-
In medieval Europe, in Southern parts of what today is France, many towns
and villages were built on a circular pattern,
and we can see and recognize this.
We are right, and we understand what we are doing, when we call these
examples of circularity. But it is a qualitative judgment.
