
Together with teaching and research, knowledge exchange (KE) constitutes one of the key areas of the Department’s activities. Engagement with the outside community to promote critical reflection and understanding has always been a core mission for philosophy.
Recent KE projects include:
- Articles and essays on AI, law and geopolitics (Boris Babic), which have appeared in Nature and Science journals, Harvard Business Review, and the South China Morning Post. These works can all be found at borisbabic.com.

- Articles on geopolitics, ethics, and technology (Brian Wong): Brian conducts regular interviews with philosophers, foreign policy thinkers, and political scientists on conversations intersecting ethics, public policymaking, and diplomacy. - Thinking skills and online learning (Joe Lau): Critical Thinking Web provides free online tutorials on critical and creative thinking.
- Chinese philosophy podcasts (Justin Tiwald): This Is The Way is a podcast on Chinese philosophy, exploring philosophical themes by reflecting on significant Chinese texts and through interviews.
